I started taking pictures approx. 30 years ago with film cameras. I used to shoot the pictures, develop the black and white film and make prints in my home dark room. This was long before digital cameras. Over the years I enjoyed long exposure photography, night and landscape photography. I also really enjoy travel photography, the architecture of a new city or the people in the street.
In recent years I discovered bird photography. I find it very challenging. Nothing better than a good sharp picture of an uncommon bird in flight. I’m also trying to learn about birds. There are so many birds which look similar. There is a lot to learn. It pays to learn about the behavior and habitat when looking for birds
I find looking for and taking pictures of birds relaxing and meditative. It’s the one place I can forget about the day to day issues we all deal with. Also, it gets me off the couch.
My camera is a Canon R5. I use a 100-500 zoom lens.
